Our team worked with the homeowner to evaluate several site plan and floor plan options to determine the best approach for the unique property. It was collectively determined that a minor variance approval at the Committee of Adjustment (CofA) would allow for the most appropriate architectural response to the circumstances. The CofA approved scheme features a well-appointed kitchen, bathroom and light-filled common area at grade. Above, the suite offers an oversized three-piece common bath flanked by two spacious bedrooms complete with ample dedicated storage. The building’s exterior design is best characterized as minimal, yet playful. Robust claddings negotiate the unique geometry, complimented by accents of colour contrasting against the otherwise mono-tone scheme.
