Working closely with the homeowners, our team strategized the entire property, proposing minor alterations to the existing residence to leverage the Changing Lanes zoning by-law to the homeowners’ greatest advantage. Two large bedrooms abut the laneway with a comfortable living space located below the requisite angular plane. A strategically located dormer frames views, amplifies privacy, and allows natural day-light deep into the floor plate. The suite is clad to compliment the primary residence, while it’s modern, minimal geometry maximizes function within the zoning parameters and reinforces it’s stance as a standalone structure.
